My Review : TAMASHA

Film  :  TAMASHA

My Review...

Imtiaz Ali once again Teams Up with the flexible Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone along with A. R. Rehman & Irshad Kamil...
Imtiaz Ali's films are just like His 'Hair'... Curly, Wavy and never straight...
Tamasha is just that... very lively at times, a little dragging once in a while, bouncy now, a little flat then...
BUT overall, it is the Wild Chemistry between the Lead Actors which keeps the viewers glued, I mean who in the world would say, that these two had a sizzling affair, a Break Up and then the usual tagline - Ohh we r just friends !

Ranbir proves yet again that wo 'Ek Lambii Race ka Ghoda hai' aur aisa ghoda jo Race ko auro ki tarah nahi daudey ga.
His acting goes one notch above, specially in His Soliloquies... where He enacts the pathos of a Man who is not what He wants to be... almost like 2 Personalities living in one person.

The Film takes of in Corsica... a beautiful haven with Mediterreanian Blue waters and some mind blowing locales which take your breath away...
Two young people bump into each other on their vacation, decide Not to reveal their true identities, have a blast but 'No Sex' and then depart...
Never to meet again...

Which they eventually do, as Tara ( Deepika ) even after 4 years cant remove   Ved ( Ranbir) from Her system, im wondering whether in real life too, has she ? Hehehehee...!

Excellent performance by the versatile Piyush Mishra, as an old Story Teller in Shimla, where Ved has spent his childhood. Ved loves to hear the completely muddled up stories which Piyush Mishra doles out after being Paid in advance by the eager Kid ( who manages to get money anyhow )...
Ramayan merges into Mahabharat, comes out from Romeo Juliet, enters Shirin Farhad and thus goes on endlessly... He says " Stories are all the same, Names & situations change ".

Two songs ( Rahman ) Matargashti  and Heer to Badi Sad hai... have been very well Picturised and are an integral part of 'Tamasha'...
Tara finally succeeds in helping Ved, find His true self and Be what He wanted to be... a charismatic Story Teller...
A Beautiful Ending !

Great production value, Locations ( Corsica, Shimla, Delhi, Kolkata, Tokyo ), Cinematography, Editing, Background Score...
Sajid Nadiadwala proves His Midas Touch again & enhances His image as one of the finest Bollywood Producers today...

If U guys drool upon the Sizzling Ranbir - Deepika Chemistry, then this Film is a must watch.

My Rating : 3.5 *
